About Me
I write what no one else does. This doesn’t make me brave. I’m random and obscure, but not in a self-congratulatory way. I write what I know I’d like to read and I hope that it catches the eyes of some others.
Other than that, I’m your pretty typical disenchanted 20-something living in Chicago. I moved from Wyoming, Ohio (Yes, I know that it’s 2 states so let’s just get that little chuckle outta the way) for school. When I graduated from my undergrad I remembered “oh right, I have no discernable talent” and decided to follow the age-old saying “Those who can’t do, teach.” So, I’m headed back to school for my masters at DePaul in the field of media and cinema studies to further put off the real world. Who knows if it’ll help? Worst case scenario, I’m in more debt… oh wait, that’s a pretty bad scenario. Ya know? Let’s just not think about it. Movin’ right along, here are some fun facts about me.
I’ve had one article published online which paid the lofty sum of 8 dollars. Sure, it isn’t much, but now I can officially call myself a published writer.
I’ve also had the privilege of writing for a fantastic movie website called The Scorecard Review where I’ve worked with some amazingly talented writers, so just so we’re clear, I’m a writer all around, not just as a hobby.
On to the frivolous stuff…
My favorite flavor of Pez is orange.
I love the feel of new socks.
I sing in the shower.
I have a crippling fear of calling Asian restaurants.
I’m impressed by anyone who’s actually read this far.
Any other questions, feel free to ask.

I feel your higher education debt-filled pain. And I love that you can’t call Asian restaurants easily…ordering takeout food from a person who you’re not certain is getting your order right can be a scary experience…
Thank you for sharing. I also enjoy your writing. At least I enjoy it so far. Good luck with your post-grad aspirations. I’m thinking about getting a graduate degree in Creative writing myself. Of course I have also considered playwrighting. I’m a theatre nerd. I also used to write movie reviews so i respect anyone who undertakes that endeavor.
Writing of any sort in a professional capacity is tough!
Thanks for the luck, I’m sure it’ll come in handy!
As for your own hopes, where were you looking at getting a grad degree from? Or have you not decided?
